What is the MensaCard good for?

The MensaCard prevents long line-ups at the cashier's counter in the dining halls and cafeterias and makes it possible for you to enjoy your meal while it is still warm. The payment with the chip card takes approximately 2 seconds; cash payment often as long as 90 seconds.

Where is the MensaCard available?

You can pick up your MensaCard at the Servicepoint in the Cafeteria, Universitätsstrasse 4 (on the ground floor of the main dining hall building) from 11 am to 2 pm or at the cashier's counters in the dining halls and cafeterias of the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg. At the HS Augsburg, HS Kempten and HS Neu-Ulm the MensaCard is your Student Card.

Who may use the MensaCard?

	Students of the University of Augsburg, University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg (with the exception of the dining hall in Schillstrasse) Kempten and Neu-Ulm upon submitting their student card
	Employees of the University of Augsburg, University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg and Kempten and Studentenwerk upon submitting their employee card

How does the MensaCard work?

Loading: The MensaCard costs 5,- € deposit. At the University of Augsburg, you can load up your MensaCard at the loading machines in the in the lobby of the dining hall, in the dinning hall close to the cutlery area and in the old cafeteria. At the University of Applied Sciences, you can load up your card at the cashier's counters. Minimum credit: 5,- €, maximum credit 150,- € . Please keep in mind that the loading machines accept bank notes only.

Payment: Please hold your MensaCard on the reader of the cash register. The price for your meal will be debited from your chip card according to your status (student or employee) within a few seconds.

How can I return the MensaCard? (Only students of the University Augsburg)

If the MensaCard is intact, you can return it at the Servicepoint (see above) at any time. You will get back the € 5,- deposit and the remaining credit.
