The "Student Parents-Child Initiative
Frechdachs e.V." offers a regular day care service for children
in two morning groups from 7:30 am to 1 pm, two afternoon groups
from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm and one all-day group from 7:30 am to 3
pm all year round. All groups, intended mainly for children between
1 and 3 years of age, are supervised by a qualified pedagogue. With
respect to the financial sources (financed by the Bavarian government
and the Studentenwerk Augsburg), the day care service is provided
only to parents enrolled at one of the Augsburg universities (it
suffices if one parent is a student). Each group consists of 12
children and is supervised by 3 persons the children know very well.
The day care building is located on the campus. It is situated
in a one-level house which fits optimally into the surrounding landscape

The generously sized garden offers the children a quiet playground.
The "Student Parents-Child Initiative Frechdachs e.V." was founded
in 1989 with the goal to plan, establish, finance and support a
child day care service. The day care tries to accommodate the special
needs of the studying parents and complete the education the children
get at home. |
